The members of the Rotary Club of Okotoks are pleased to recognize the recipients of the
2025 Rotary Club of Okotoks Career Opportunity Awards.
This year's recipients are Jaden Jensen and Kori McLaren. Each received an award of $1,500,
applied directly to tuition at their post-secondary institution. Jaden is studying at Mount
Royal University in Calgary, and Kori at Medicine Hat College.
The Career Opportunity Awards are open to students graduating Grade 12 from an Okotoks high
school who are entering an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution. Applicants are
assessed on financial need, on leadership, and on their involvement in student, community
and business activities.
The awards are funded from two sources. The first is the Rotary Club of Okotoks Career
Opportunity Fund, an endowment the club holds at the Calgary Foundation. The second is a
District Undergraduate Scholarship grant from Rotary International District 5360, made
possible by The Rotary Foundation. The Calgary Foundation administers the awards on the
club's behalf and pays each award directly to the student's institution.
